On Thursday, August 31, 2023, Citnalta-Forte Joint Venture (CFJV) joined MTA C&D and Naik Consulting Group to cut a ribbon for the opening of brand new escalators at Grand Central Station. The ribbon cutting celebrated Milestone 4 ofCFJV’s MTA C&D Contract A37679 Grand Central Subway Station; Mezzanine Finishes, Escalator Replacement, and Structural Repairs on the Lexington & Flushing Lines, with the opening of escalators 203/204 and staircases PL8/PL9 at the west end of the 7 platform. Congratulations to the entire CFJV team on accomplishing this great milestone!
CFJV was awarded Contract A37679 in December 2021. This project calls for repairs to the Lexington Avenue mezzanine and replacement of eight existing escalators for the Flushing Line at the Grand Central-42nd Street Station. The project also involves ceiling repairs, and mezzanine finishes as well as ventilator and steel beam repairs.
The project is set to be completed in 2025.
