Citnalta Construction Corp. recently hosted Intern Day for this year’s summer intern class, giving interns the opportunity to step outside of their day-to-day assignments and gain a broader understanding of the company and the construction industry.
The day included visits to active Citnalta project sites, where interns were able to see ongoing work firsthand and learn more about the planning, coordination, and teamwork required to keep each project moving forward. These site visits gave the interns a closer look at different phases of construction and helped connect what they have been learning throughout the summer to real work happening in the field.
Interns also heard presentations from members of the Citnalta team representing different roles and areas of the company. The presentations provided insight into the wide range of career paths available within the construction industry, from field operations and project management to estimating, safety, engineering, marketing, and corporate support.
The group also had time to connect and network over lunch, share experiences from their individual project assignments, and learn more about one another’s responsibilities. Bringing the intern class together created an opportunity for them to exchange ideas, ask questions, and better understand how each department contributes to Citnalta’s overall success.
Intern Day is an important part of Citnalta’s summer internship program and reflects the company’s commitment to providing interns with meaningful, hands-on experiences. Throughout the summer, interns are encouraged to learn from experienced professionals, take on new challenges, and develop a stronger understanding of the construction industry.
Thank you to everyone who helped organize the day, welcomed the interns to their project sites, and shared their time and knowledge. Your support helped make Intern Day a memorable and valuable experience for this year’s summer interns.
