On Friday, January 23, our team attended the Laurelton Station ribbon cutting, marking an important milestone in a comprehensive ADA accessibility initiative across the LIRR for MTA C&D.
This joint venture with Scalamandre delivered critical ADA and state-of-good-repair improvements, including the installation and replacement of 10 elevators and 1 escalator; ADA-compliant paths of travel, walkways, lighting, and signage; platform upgrades such as tactile strips and safety markings; accessible parking, sidewalks, curb ramps, and crosswalks; as well as upgraded communication, safety, and public address systems.
We are proud to help ensure Long Island’s transit system is more accessible, inclusive, and reliable for all riders!
